About Summit Nonprofit Housing

Summit Non Profit Housing was started in 2011 in an effort to address the housing crisis that was brought
on by the real estate crash of 2008. Many residents were displaced and Summit Non Profit Housing was
created to provide affordable housing and provide a pathway to home ownership.
Summit Non Profit Housing purchases depressed properties and restores them. Summit Non Profit
Housing is then able to finance the property for the new home owner.
The Adult Bicycle Exchange is a part of Summit Non Profit Housing as well. Donated bikes are repaired
and provided free of charge to the underprivileged. People that did not have transportation are now able to
travel farther. Grocery stores are not in walking distance to every resident.
After the pandemic, with housing prices skyrocketing, affordable housing is even harder to find. Our
mission remains clear. We hope to provide a path to home ownership to as many residents as possible.
